From the gates of Hell

These photos are from a place called Hell's Gate in New Zealand, it's the largest Geothermal park in the Southern Hemisphere, the earth's crust is so unstable that all the sulfur comes up from underneath, the whole town smells like rotten eggs. But this place is really interesting, it's quite eerie- if it wasn't for the fact that you can't walk basically anywhere on it for fear of falling through to boiling hot water then this would be an absolutely perfect place for a Picnic at Hanging Rock type movie.
